Rules and Guidelines for Commissions

Birds only. I do not currently take commissions on other wildlife or non-bird photos.
Please be gracious and patient. I will do the best I can to get a photo to your specifications ASAP.
Please try not to be overly specific. I can't make a snowy owl sit on a stop sign at exactly 6:43 on a Tuesday evening. The more specific a commission, the harder it will be for me to get, the more expensive it will be, and the longer it will take.
I will not always accept commissions. I am always up for them, but unfortunately sometimes I am too busy or sometimes I feel a commission is beyond my capability. I will turn down a commission if I feel I can’t or shouldn’t accept it. Don't let that discourage you from asking me though!!!
I can only photograph birds that are native to Northern VA in whatever season you’re commissioning. In other words, I can’t photograph a Lammergeier for you (as cool as that would be) because they live across the Atlantic from me.
I do not take commissions for pet birds. I will only photograph wild birds.
I do not kidnap birds. "Bringing Bird Life to your Living Room" is just a catchphrase arite

No question is a stupid question!! However, please remain topical. I can only guarantee a response to questions relating to my photography.
Please do not spam. I will block anyone who spams me.
You do not have to have a question to send an email. I will accept emails sending me compliments, general comments, or otherwise. I will not reply to any email I think is a heartless troll.
No abuse, trolls, or harsh critique. I am willing to listen to tips or ways you think I might be able to improve, but I will not tolerate any emails that hate on me or my work.
I will try my best to reply to every email that follows these guidelines, please be patient. I have many other things going on and can't spend all of the day watching my email.
I will accept questions about birds, however, please keep in mind I am not an ornithologist. I am merely a bird photographer. I cannot guarantee my answers will be 100% correct. I cannot offer any advice on what to do with your dying parrot.
